Peter Phipps
Peter was a newspaper reporter, editor and web manager for 45 years. He retired from The Providence Journal as deputy executive editor in 2017. Since then, he has been teaching journalism at URI, tending his garden, and leading a Providence history tour. "My wife and I bought an old house on Transit Street in 2003. After several renovations, there are still few right angles."

Lily Bogosian
With a passion for environmental protection and a background in finance, Lily Bogosian is an advocate for preserving the unique character and charm that first attracted her and her family to Fox Point 13 years ago. “Small family businesses, unique shops and local restaurants are the backbone of our neighborhood," she says. "We are lucky to enjoy the benefits of a local experience within the larger province of Providence.” An avid beekeeper, Lily champions the importance of green space and sustainable development.

Mike Bell
Mike Bell has lived on Sheldon Street in Fox Point for nearly 17 years. He and his wife, Beth, are small-business owners and visual artists, and run a media production company, Embee Studio, from their home. Mike and Beth have twin daughters that have been in the Providence public school system since kindergarten, first at Vartan Gregorian elementary then at Nathan Bishop middle school and are now just completing their sophomore year at Classical High School. Mike is committed to preserving the historic character that Fox Point is known for and ensuring that Fox Point is a safe and vibrant community for the business and residents.

Daisy Schnepel
Daisy Schnepel has held various board positions with FPNA since being involved with the organization from its infantile stages in the late 1990s, and has also served on the boards of the Providence Preservation Society and Family Service of Rhode Island, Inc. Daisy holds a Masters in Industrial Design from Rhode Island School of Design and has a keen interest in the arts, architecture, and preservation.

Judyth vanAmringe
For many years, Judyth vanAmringe worked in New York City as a designer where she carefully re-created self-made and found objects. In 1997, vanAmringe came to Providence and continued her work in ceramics, creating textured porcelain vessels, while also creating wearable objects d’art. VanAmringe is represented in the collections of the Rhode Island School of Design Museum, The Wadsworth Atheneum, and the New Britain Museum of American Art. Judyth’s dedication to architecture and design extends to her neighborhood support for sustainable and architecturally desirable land use projects and advocating for responsible development in Fox Point.

John Woolsey
John Woolsey is a retired architect with a special interest in old neighborhoods and historic buildings. During his career, he worked on the subway system in Los Angeles, then came to Boston, where he lived in the South End and worked on historic restorations. The last part of his career was spent with a company that analyzed real estate investments for portfolio managers, allowing them to track their buildings’ condition and use. John has been retired since 2005. He is currently co-chair of the Board of Trustees of Preserve Rhode Island.
John has lived in lived in Fox Point with his wife Ann and their two children since 1995. Historic neighborhoods and the character of old buildings have been some of John’s life-long interests.
